Frosted Glacier

Frosted Glacier is the snow/ice themed world of New Super Mario Bros. U. The world lies northeast of Layer-Cake Desert, Sparkling Waters, and Acorn Plains, north of Soda Jungle, and northwest of Rock-Candy Mines and Meringue Clouds. The world is covered in a blanket of snow, with scattered pine trees and mountains throughout. This world, along with Sparkling Waters, are both available to visit after Layer-Cake Desert. The player can choose one or the other, which can result in a complete playthrough without visiting the world.

There are a total of 9 levels in the world, 5 of them are normal stages, 1 Tower level, 1 Castle level, 1 Ghost House, and 1 secret level. The sky for some normal levels in this world has stars, a moon and auroras.
