The Foyer is a room which appears in Luigi's Mansion on the first floor. It is the first room Luigi discovers in the mansion. A Toad is seen bawling in a corner here. He tells Luigi that Princess Peach sent him here to search for Mario. This marks the only time in the game when Princess Peach is mentioned. When Luigi first enters the mansion with a flashlight, he attempts to open the door to the Parlor. A ghost drops a key on the ground, and Luigi opens that door. When he comes back, there is a Toad bawling over Mario's appearance. He also scans items with his Game Boy Horror. All mirrors, except for those in the Mirror Room, redirect Luigi to the middle of this room.
The chandelier on the ceiling falls if Luigi steps in the middle of the room (before he defeats Chauncey). Luigi then hears Chauncey's laugh.
Other appearances[]
In Super Paper Mario, the Foyer appears in the minigame Mansion Patrol. In this mini-game, the character must blast Boos in the Foyer to earn points.
The Foyer also appears in the minigame Boo-ting Gallery in Mario Party 8 where the players work on teams to eliminate all of the Boos in the mansion.
It makes one more appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In the stage Luigi's Mansion it appears as one of the five rooms visible in the stage.
