What is this Alliance thing? Shall we join and get "exclusive content"? Which alliance would we join? Just saw this notification and I was wondering if anyone else even cares.

I don't know. --Rainbowroad6w, the researcher. (Talk)(GCWaves YouTube channel) 02:20, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

I personally think it's incredibly stupid. Maybe if I read up more on it. – EnemyPeacemaker 02:48, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

I really don't know anything. I just saw it. --Rainbowroad6w, the researcher. (Talk)(GCWaves YouTube channel) 02:49, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

I'm going to contact staff to get more information about. I'll relay the information in this forum, but I personally want to know more about this. I don't know if it'd be beneficial to us, but it could be. As of right now, the information we were provided was kind of vague. – EnemyPeacemaker 02:51, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah seriously. xD --Rainbowroad6w, the researcher. (Talk)(GCWaves YouTube channel) 03:03, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

Hi Sabrina,
Thanks for contacting us. I've got some more information from the team running the program:
The Alliance program is a Wikia wide program where wikis can decide if they belong to Heroes, Sci-fi, or Fantasy wikis. When you choose an alliance (and you can choose more than one) you'll get that Alliance's badge on your mainpage. The badge will be updated with information from all about your Alliance. You'll see information about other wikis who have joined the same alliance as you. For example if there is a beta code giveaway happening on one of the Hero wikis, and you're in that alliance, you'll be notified via the Alliance badge on your mainpage that there is a beta code giveaway going on.
Wikis who join an Alliance will also be promoted in a couple of different ways. Your wiki will be added to the Alliance landing page (wikia.com/Alliance), you'll be promoted on your topic's hub page (wikia.com/Entertainment), and you'll also be talked about on Wikia's Twitter and Facebook pages.
If you're having trouble choosing what Alliance you should join, remember that you can be in as many as you want, and the definitions are very broad. The Heroes United Alliance is for wikis who feel their topic is about a Hero or Heroes (think Marvel, Harry Potter, etc.). The Fantasy Alliance is for wikis who live in a fantasy world with dragons and magic or talking animals, etc. (Think Harry Potter, Warrior Cats, etc. Sci-Fi folks are interested in space and science (Tardis, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc).
Personally, I'd probably put Mario more under Heroes, but Fantasy seems fairly valid too.
Hope that helps!
Best regards,
George Pribul (Kirkburn)

Personally, this information kind of shows that it wouldn't fit with the scope of this wiki. I feel we shouldn't do it. – EnemyPeacemaker 19:41, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

Ok well whatever. --Rainbowroad6w, the researcher. (Talk)(GCWaves YouTube channel) 21:54, January 30, 2013 (UTC)
