The Fortune-teller's Room is a room in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS version.
Description[]
The Fortune-teller's Room is where Madame Clairvoya lives. It contains four candelabra, two of which are on high stands, while the other two rest on small drawers in the back of the room. The main focus of the room is an ornately decorated gold chair and an ornately decorated table, on which there is the crystal ball. When the room is dark, there is a block of cheese behind Madame Clairvoya's chair, and scanning the cheese with the Game Boy Horror causes a Gold Mouse to appear from it.
In Luigi's Mansion[]
The Fortune-teller's Room is first accessed in Area Two. Whenever Luigi shines his flashlight on the crystal ball, Madame Clairvoya materializes. She explains to him that she can help him if he brings her five items that Mario dropped. Luigi can use the effects of the Fire Elemental Ghost to light the four candelabras to obtain the Key to the Laundry Room.
Whenever Luigi brings one of Mario's items to Madame Clairvoya, she gives him clues as to Mario's fate. Although the Fortune-teller's Room is first discovered in Area Two, it cannot be cleared until Area Three, as a few of the rooms with one of Mario's items only become accessible by then. After Luigi brings all five items to Madame Clairvoya, he can capture her, and a treasure chest with the Safari Room key appears.
During the blackout, two Purple Punchers and a Blue Twirler are encountered here. Luigi also has a second chance to capture the Gold Mouse if he had not done so prior to capturing Madame Clairvoya.
