"Flower Power" is the thirty-first live-action segment of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. It is paired with the animated episode "Hooded Robin and His Mario Men."
Plot[]
Mario implores Luigi to taste his "prize winning" spaghetti sauce. Luigi takes a taste and agrees that it's the best sauce he's tasted. Mario reveals that it’s the dehydrated vegetable seeds that he's added that makes it taste so good. Just then, Mario notices that Luigi is growing a thick cover of leaves all over his chest.
Luigi's condition worsens and he starts to grow vegetables. Fortunately, Young McDonald (the son of Old McDonald) shows up to check on Luigi's ailment. He tries to simply remove the vegetables and leaves but they just grow back. After doing some research it’s discovered that Luigi has Veggieitis. The cure is to eat a rose, which Luigi does. Unfortunately, this leaves him with a new disease that would last for a week: Roseitis.
