A Flophopper
Flophoppers are enemies from Super Mario 3D Land. One side of them is spiky, the other side is soft. If Mario (or Luigi) jumps on the spiky side of it they will lose their powerup if they have a powerup, they will lose their hat if they haven't already lost it, and if they have already lost it they'll lose a life. If Mario (or Luigi) jumps on the soft side of it is will be defeated. Flophoppers flip over so their different sides face up. Eventually they will stop flipping and spin around then flip back the other way.
