Flinger Painting is a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party 9.
Opening[]
The camera focuses on a canvas as it zooms out, then the characters enter the area.
Gameplay[]
The characters have shoot paintballs at the canvas, which they have to try and cover as much of with their color as possible. To shoot a paintball, the player must aim the Wii Remote at the screen and either press or hold . If the button is held, the player's character can charge a shot that covers a larger area of the canvas with paint. At the end, once the 15-second time limit is up, the character whose color covers most of the canvas is the winner.
In Time Attack, the player's character has to cover at least 90% of the canvas. There is also a bonus objective in which they must do ten shots or fewer.
