Flightless Goonies are a recurring wingless variant of Goonies featured in the Yoshi platforming titles. They first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Flightless Goonies have their own skeletal variant named Flightless Skeleton Goonies.
A Yoshi can turn a regular Goonie into a Flightless Goonie by either eating then spitting it back out or by throwing a Yoshi Egg or an enemy at it. Some Flightless Goonies already do not have wings, and presumably did not start out as a Goonie.
