Flash

Flashes are a type of ghost enemy in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS version.

Physical description[]

Flashes are a variant of Purple Punchers, with which they share a base appearance, but Flashes have a white body and a heart protected by ice.

Behavior[]

Flashes act the same as Purple Punchers in that they try to charge up a punch into Luigi and hit him.

In Luigi's Mansion[]

Because Flashes are protected by ice, Luigi must melt them through capturing a Fire Elemental Ghost and producing flames from his Poltergust 3000, leaving the Flash vulnerable to being captured into the Poltergust 3000. Like Purple Punchers, Flashes each have 20 HP.

Three Flashes first appear in the Hidden Room, each located in one of the treasure chests. One later appears in the Kitchen, where it is hiding in the refrigerator and is the only ghost who has to be defeated for the lights to turn on. Two Flashes appear on the Roof, or five in the Hidden Mansion.

During the blackout, two Flashes can optionally be encountered in the Butler's Room, along with two Gold Ghosts.
