The locations of the Silver Stars, as shown from the Touch Screen
Like Silver Star missions for other courses, Lethal Lava Land generally retains the same layout, but the main difference is that it adds five Silver Stars that have to be collected and a Star Sphere that the Power Star appears in upon collecting every Silver Star. The same ! Block with a Shiny Shell from Hot-Foot-It into the Volcano and Elevator Tour in the Volcano returns at the rightmost corner of the starting platform. The Star Sphere is on a platform just west of the course's starting point.
The locations of the Silver Stars are as follows:
On a small platform near the bridge to the Bowser sliding puzzle.
On an isolated platform south of the bridge to the Big Bully's platform.
On a platform north of the spinning platform with the Fire Arms.
On a wooden wheel near the platform where the Bully the Bullies' Power Star is obtained.
Objective[]
Just like other Silver Star missions, Flaming Silver Stars' objective is to collect all five Silver Stars. Mario (or Yoshi, Luigi, or Wario in the remake) has to use a Shiny Shell to ride on the lava to surf around and collect the Silver Stars scattered throughout. It is possible, yet considerably harder, for them to collect the Silver Stars without the aid of the Shiny Shell. Once all five Silver Stars are collected, the Power Star appears on the platform just west of the course's starting point.
