Fishin' Boo is an enemy originating from Super Mario World. They behave similarly to Fishin' Lakitus with the only difference being that their fishing rod now possesses a blue flame rather than a 1-Up Mushroom. Fishin' Boos will relentlessly stalk the heroes upon sight hoping to scorch them with their flame. For the most part, Fishin' Boos are invincible and only invincibility-related attacks can destroy them.
History
Super Mario World

A Fishin' Boo chasing Mario.
Fishin' Boos make their debut in Super Mario World. In this games, it attacks Mario (or Luigi) by hanging a blue fire over his head trying to get him to touch it, they are commonly found in Ghost Houses and relentlessly stalk the plumbers as they travel through the corridors. Fishin' Boos cannot be defeated but the plumbers can use various maneuvers to outrun them.
Super Princess Peach

Peach's encounter with a Fishing Boo.
Fishin' Boos reappear again in Super Princess Peach behaving in the same way as before, holding a fishing rod with a flame and trying to hit Peach with it. In this game, they are commonly found in Shriek Mansion and Bowser's Villa and are slightly more aggressive than in Super Mario World, there is also a sleepy variety called the Calm Fishin' Boo which sleeps until Peach approaches however this time, Peach's rage vibe can destroy it.
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story / Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey

A Boo with a Fishing Rod.

A Boo with a Fishing Rod in the remake.
A Fishin' Boo apparently appears with the bonus roulette on Bowser's level up screen in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, however this is a generic Boo with a fishing rod and not the Lakitu variant. The "Fishin' Boo" fills the Lakitu's role on Bowser's level-up screen.
Super Mario Run

Many Fishing Boos holding different things.
Fishin' Boos return in Super Mario Run retaining their behavior from previous games, in this game, they appear in the level Fishing Boo Taunts You as a common enemy however this time, hazardous flames aren't they only things Fishin' Boos carry on their rods, they also carry Super Mushrooms, 1-Up Mushroom, Coins, and sometimes even Starmen. Fishin' Boos aren't as durable as they were previously and can be beaten with the effects of a Starman or by stomping on their heads. Defeating a Fishin' Boo also shows that it is a ghostly creature under a sheet.
