Super Mario

A Fire Shooter (also called a Fire Blaster or a Fire Cannon) is an obstacle that first appears in Super Mario Galaxy. They resemble the Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device, but they are red and shoot fire from their turret. They are completely indestructible and Mario cannot destroy them. Their relatives include Water Shooters and Electricity Shooters.

Fire Shooters are encountered in Bowser's Star Reactor, Deep Dark Galaxy, Toy Time Galaxy, and in the Undergrunt Gunner Planet. There are two variants of this obstacle. One that emits flame streams, and the other shoots fireballs. They are often found in groups together, Fire Shooters are indestructible and cannot be destroyed in any way.

Super Mario Galaxy 2[]

Fire Shooters reappear in Super Mario Galaxy 2, in this game, they can only be found in Bowser's Galaxy Generator. Notably, the game only features those which shoot out fireballs. They appear as an obstacle near the beginning as Mario/Luigi is riding the Floaty Fluff down the lava falls. The Fire Shooters shoot their fireballs upward, if Mario/Luigi is hit by one of these fireballs, the Floaty Fluff will disappear sending them plummeting down to a lava below.
