Fire is a reoccurring element in the Mario role-playing games. It is, by far, the most common element that has first appeared in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Fire, in other games, tend to cause the burn ailment that ranks upon damage on each turn.

In this game, Mario is the main user of the Fire element on his team. Mario can utilize the Fire Orb, Super Flame, and Ultra Flame moves that can damage his enemies. Fire tends to be the weakness of insect and plant-related enemies especially those in the Forest Maze.
