Spindels are a cylindrical variant of Thwomp encountered in the upper levels of the Shifting Sand Land pyramid in Super Mario 64 and its Nintendo DS remake Super Mario 64 DS.

Physical description[]
Spindels are wrapped in mummified band-aids and sport light blue eyes and black eyebrows. Spindels and Rhomps act similar to one another, and Spindels bear a similar appearance to Grindels aside from having a different shape.
Behavior[]
Spindels roll on the floor, attempting to squish Mario (or Luigi, Yoshi or Wario in Super Mario 64 DS). If a Spindel rolls over Mario, he takes damage. A Spindel can be jumped onto, but using a Spindel is not stable because it rolls around.
