World 5 is the fifth world of Super Mario Bros. and its remakes Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.

Description[]

It is a grassland, in which new enemies, such as the Bullet Bill and Turtle Cannon, are introduced. This world features shorter time limits and harder levels. Levels, however, begin to repeat from this world on, only with increased difficulty.

On the map in Deluxe, it features quite a few trees and some water, and the land elevation is noticeably higher. 5-1 is located on the far west. From there, the player is lead north-bound to 5-2. Directly to the east is 5-3, situated on a single tall piece of land. From there, the player is then lead south towards the castle.
