World 1-3 is the third and final level of World 1 in Super Mario Bros. 2 and its remakes Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance. The boss of this level is Mouser.
Layout[]
The player begins navigating through a waterfall area, where they encounter several Trouters, Snifits, Ninjis, and Shy Guys. At the end here, they must enter a door that leads inside a fortress. At the bottom is a locked door leading to the final section before the boss area. To find the key, the player must climb up to the top using the chains and platforms, while also avoiding several Sparks. At the top is a room, which holds the key. After taking it, the Phanto will begin chasing the player as long as he holds the key. The player must then make their way down to the bottom to unlock the door.
In this final area, the player must carefully leap across some platforms, while avoiding a horde of Sparks. At the end here, shortly before the masked gate, is the crystal orb that unlocks the gate. Upon entering, the player will encounter Mouser, who will continuously toss bombs at the player. To defeat him, the player must toss the bombs back at him, at just the right place. Mouser will be defeated after taking three hits, and an exit door will appear.
Secret exit[]
There is a hidden warp that leads the player to World 4. It is hidden within the jar at the end of the first area. The player must take the Magic Potion all the way to the jar and enter Subspace to warp to World 4.
Collectibles in Super Mario Advance[]
In Super Mario Advance, there are five Ace Coins to collect. Collecting all of them rewards the player with a 1-Up. In the Yoshi Challenge, there are two Yoshi Eggs to collect.
Ace Coins[]
- Ace Coin #1 is located right above the player's starting point of this level.
- Ace Coin #2 is located above the two logs that come after the two big waterfalls.
- Ace Coin #3 is located at the end of the first area, above the jar that warps the player to World 4.
- Ace Coin #4 is located right before the locked door.
- Ace Coin #5 is located in the third area, which is accessed through the locked door.
Yoshi Eggs[]
- Yoshi Egg #1 is located underneath the bridge in the first area.
- Yoshi Egg #2 is located on the middle of three platforms occupied by Sparks. The Magic Potion is inside the jar.
