World 1-2 is the second level of World 1 in Super Mario Bros. 2 and its remakes Super Mario All-Stars and Super Mario Advance.
Layout[]
The player begins along a few platforms, where they will encounter a Pidgit on a flying carpet. The player must get across by first removing the Pidgit and riding its carpet until they reach the land. There is a cave ahead with a locked door. Here in this area are two vases, one of which holds the key to unlock the door.
After passing through the cave, the player will emerge onto the higher sections. Pressing forward, the player will enter the final door, leading to the area where they encounter the second Pink Birdo.
Collectibles in Super Mario Advance[]
In Super Mario Advance, there are five Ace Coins to collect. Collecting all of them rewards the player with a 1-Up. In the Yoshi Challenge, there are two Yoshi Eggs to collect.
Ace Coins[]
- Ace Coin #1 is located near the beginning, at the bottom of the screen when the player must ride the flying carpet.
- Ace Coin #2 is located somewhat at the top, above the first one.
- Ace Coin #3 is located in the cave, which can only be accessed if the player finds the key.
- Ace Coin #4 is located on the tall platform, on the far left end. This area is reached after exiting the cave.
- Ace Coin #5 is located by the final door.
Yoshi Eggs[]
- Yoshi Egg #1 is located right behind the first breakable wall.
- Yoshi Egg #2 is located on the right side of the second jar. It can also be collected prior to collecting the first.
