The Brute is Wario's first exclusive kart in Mario Kart DS.

Wario in his Brute
The Brute appears to be based of the Wario Car from Wario Land 4 and Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, but with a black and gray checkered pattern instead of purple.
In Mario Kart DS[]
The Brute has excellent top speed, followed by average acceleration, weight, handling and drift along with a low items rate, so get ready to get a lot of Bananas and Fake Item Boxes. This and the Wildlife are the lightest karts within the heavyweight class, and both can easily be bumped around by certain heavier karts from lightweight or mediumweight racers.
It shares its acceleration with the Standard RB, its handling is shared with the Light Tripper, and it shares its drift with Dry Bones' Dry Bomber. It shares its items stat with all other characters' lighter karts.
At first, only Wario can use the Brute, but after completing all Nitro or Retro Grand Prix cups in the 150cc engine class, Bowser and Waluigi can use the Brute, and by completing all cups in Mirror Mode, all other racers can use this kart.
Wario in the Brute is used as the staff ghosts for courses Wario Stadium and N64 Frappe Snowland, with the alotted times of 2:10:010 and 2:08:781 respectively.
