The Chomp Call is an item that appears in the Mario Party series. The Chomp Call is a whistle designed like a Chain Chomp. The Chomp Call first appears in Mario Party 4 as an item. In Mario Party 4, this item is the successor to the Lucky Lamp that appears in Mario Party 3. It was succeeded again by the Tweester Capsule in Mario Party 5. However, it returns again in The Top 100 and Superstars. When the player uses the Chomp Call, they call four small Chain Chomps. The Chain Chomps then surround the host --who holds the Star Space-- and scares away both them (the host) and the Star Space to another location. The Chomp Call also appears in the Mario Party 5 mini-game Chomp Romp. In this mini-game, the characters use the Chomp Call to guide their Chain Chomps to the finish line. When they blow the Chomp call, their Chain Chomp will charge in the direction of the whistle. The Chomp Call makes a return appearance in the Minigame Match mode of The Top 100. In this game it moves the location of the Star Balloons to any other space on the board. In Superstars, this item has the same function as in Mario Party 4.
