Mario & Luigi

Elite Chuck Guys are stronger versions of the Chuck Guy that appeared in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and the 3DS remake.

Profile[]

Elite Chuck Guys are identical to their weaker counterparts, although they are colored sky blue instead of purple and their headband has changed from blue to lime green.

History[]

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga[]

In Superstar Saga and the 3DS remake, Elite Chuck Guys appear as enemies in Guffawha Ruins. They can only be fought by Luigi.

Battle[]

Elite Chuck Guys are faster than Chuck Guys. Oucher Glasses or Limbo Bros sometimes accompany Elite Chuck Guys. In the overworld, Elite Chuck Guys throw a spear at Luigi to start the battle.

The first method of their attack is coming towards Mario or Luigi and charging into them, which can inflict Poison. The second method of attack is swinging their spear towards Luigi. Elite Chuck Guys also call for more Elite Chuck Guys when feeling threatened, sometimes another Elite Chuck Guy will not appear, making it waste its turn. Luigi can dodge its spears by jumping. Luigi can also counterattack and dodge by jumping while the Elite Chuck Guy is charging.

In the international versions of Superstar Saga, Elite Chuck Guys are healed by Thunderhand-based attacks, but in the Japanese version of Superstar Saga, as well as all versions of the 3DS remake, they take normal damage from it.

Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser[]

Elite Chuck Guys appear as enemies in the side story of the 3DS remake of Superstar Saga, Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser. Like Chuck Guys, they are melee-troopers, their Special Skill is Spin Cycle and they are weak against red Koopa Paratroopas.
