WarioWare

Fancy Footwork is a recurring microgame in the WarioWare series. It first appears in WarioWare: Twisted!, as one of Mona's microgames, and returns in WarioWare Gold as one of Dr. Crygor's microgames instead.

Layout[]

In WarioWare: Twisted!, the microgame depicts a black human and a soccer ball on a blank yellow background. In WarioWare Gold, the background is dark orange, and both the human and soccer ball are drawn in a pencil sketch-like art style.

Gameplay[]

The player takes control of a human, who has to keep a soccer ball into the air by kicking it up. If the ball is in the air without touching the ground, the player wins at the microgame, but if the ball hits the ground, they lose.

  • Level 1: Each time the human kicks the ball, it bounces over to the other side.
  • Level 2: The ball sometimes does not kick over to the other side, in which case the player must have the character bounce the soccer ball onto the same leg again.
  • Level 3: The ball launches high into the air after the first kick. After this, the ball suddenly falls down on either the left side or right side.

Trivia[]

  • The microgame title is shared with the phrase "fancy footwork," describing a person who is skilled at maneuvering, especially in dancing and sports.
