Expansion Block

The Expansion Block is an object in the Yoshi's Island series. It first appears in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, then in Yoshi's Island DS and Yoshi's New Island.

Description[]

An Expansion Block resembles an Egg Block except it has dark purple spots. A Yoshi can jump under an Expansion Block to expand it to about twice its size for a short period of time. An enlarged Expansion Block allows a Yoshi to get onto higher areas that it cannot otherwise reach.

Expansion Blocks are used as early as in the opening level, Welcome To Yoshi's Island.
