The Excess Express Engineer is a minor character that appears in the game Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He is the main engineer of the Excess Express and is always seen running the train.

Appearance

The Excess Express Engineer is a Toad that appears to wear a black hat on his head. He also wears a black jacket to match his hat.

History

The Excess Express Engineer's role in the game is somewhat big as his autograph is needed in order to please Bub. The Engineer feels touched that someone wants an autograph of him. On the third day, all of the passengers have gone missing and as soon the Engineer takes with Mario, a bunch of creatures known as Smorgs will infest the outside of the train. After Mario has defeated the Smorg, the Excess Express is saved and the Excess Express Engineer is pleased.
