Excalibur is an item in the The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "King Mario of Cramalot."
Description[]
Excalibur is a long, golden plumbing snake located in the Forest of Perpetual Night and Terrible Dangers, where it is hidden in a lake. It is named for the sword of the same name from the Legend of King Arthur.
Excalibur has a few additional abilities, like when Mario touches it to transform into Super Mario. Excalibur can be extended and used as grappling line, and it can switch from this flexible shape to being stiff and sword-like.

"King Mario of Cramalot"[]
The Excalibur is summoned when a lightning bolt strikes the lake where Excalibur is hidden. The same lightning bolt raises a hand out of the lake, which proceeds to toss the Excalibur to Mario.
Later, Mario uses the Excalibur to duel against King Koopa and his Golden Plumber's Helper. The Excalibur ultimately proves to be more powerful than the Golden Plumber's Helper, and King Koopa loses against Mario.
