Elemental Ghosts are a species of ghosts in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS version.
Profile[]
Physical description[]
There are three types of Elemental Ghosts, named Fire Elemental Ghosts, Water Elemental Ghosts, and Ice Elemental Ghosts respectively, and each type is imbued with the element in its name. The Elemental Ghosts' appearance respectively matches the elemental powers used by them: a Fire Elemental Ghost resembles a small flame; a Water Elemental Ghost resembles a bright, blue water droplet; and an Ice Elemental Ghost resembles a piece of ice. All three types of Elemental Ghosts have a pair of yellow eyes.
Behavior[]
An Elemental Ghost can be summoned certain spaces once Luigi has acquired the corresponding Element Medal (e.g. Fire Elemental Ghosts require the Fire Element Medal to be obtained) and uses his Poltergust 3000 to vacuum at the hiding spot of the Elemental Ghost. Upon being summoned, an Elemental Ghost slowly floats around in the air, and can damage Luigi upon contact with him.
In Luigi's Mansion[]
Luigi can use his Poltergust 3000 to vacuum in an Elemental Ghost, converting it into a limited supply of its element for the Poltergust 3000, which can then discharge the element. For instance, if an Ice Elemental Ghost is vacuumed in, the Poltergust 3000 receives a limited supply of ice.
