The Egg Ball is Yoshi's Star Skill in Mario Superstar Baseball. When Yoshi performs Egg Ball while pitching, the baseball turns into an egg that quickly bounces from left to right across the home plate. If done while batting, the baseball still becomes an egg, but bounces across the outfield. Birdo's Star Skill, Weird Ball, functions very similarly, but she instead launches a pink-spotted egg.
In Challenge mode, Yoshi can only perform Egg Ball once the Egg item has been purchased from the shop.
The Egg Ball does not return in Mario Super Sluggers, as Yoshi instead uses Rainbow Ball for pitching and Egg Swing for batting.
