Description[]
The Dry Bones Shell simply resembles the shell of a Dry Bones. This item can be found by going into the Dry Bones menu and selecting the shell.

The Dry Bones Shell is available in all the game styles except the Super Mario 3D World style. Unlike the Spiny Shells or Buzzy Shells, the Dry Bones Shells cannot be worn over the player's head, but instead, the player can wear it, like the Goomba's Shoe. This can be used to surf across lava, water, and poisoned water. The shell can also Ground Pound, and even make the player become temporarily invincible by turning into a pile of bones. The shells can also be kicked around like Koopa Shells, but because they are made of bones, they will be destroyed upon coming into contact with a wall.
The Dry Bones Shells can also be used to instantly take out bosses in just one hit by jumping on them with while inside the shell, even bosses like Bowser, as if a Thwomp or a Muncher were landing on the bosses. The shell can also float across liquids when placed on kicked on said surfaces.
Other appearances[]
In The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Invincible Luigi used a Dry Bones Shell from a defeated Dry Bones as a shield during the climax.
