Driver's Ed is a microgame from WarioWare: Smooth Moves, found as the boss microgame of Kat and Ana's stage, Evil Attacks Diamond Dojo. When it appears, it causes the doors to bear the Elephant Ogre's face. It uses the Chauffeur form for its gameplay, which is mimicked by Road Wario in WarioWare Gold.

Gameplay[]

Players have to play the game similarly to Mario Kart Wii, except they drive forward automatically and cannot stop.. Turning the Wii Remote causes their car to turn accordingly, with clockwise for right and counter-clockwise for left. Crashing the car into the wall causes a death for the player, which translates as life-loss. The player has to win by heading to the goal whilst ignoring the animals and entities on the road.

Outro[]

The driver gives a thumbs-up sign with his right hand and smiles. The camera stops and leaves the car to drive forward.

Difficulty[]

The track's length increases as the difficulty rises. Conversely, it is straighter on easier levels, with less creatures on its road. The player's car is blue on level 1, a yellow hue on level 2, and red on level 3.

Differences in Road Wario[]

All of the differences are aesthetics. Wario now drives the car, which has been changed to his personal one. Wario's car has no review mirror, so we do not see his smile. The top screen also shows the track's layout, with Wario's nose and moustache marking your position.

Rules[]

  • Driver's Ed: "I'm the king of the road!"
  • Road Wario: "Steer smoothly so I stay on the road! I can't afford another car!"

Behind The Scenes[]

Name[]

The Microgame's name comes from the term "Driver's Education," which is a formal class or program that prepares a new driver to obtain a learner's permit or driver's license.
