Dribble and Spitz are major characters in the WarioWare series. The duo make their debut in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!. Dribble is an orange bulldog and Spitz is his yellow cat sidekick. Dribble and Spitz are cab drivers who operate a business named Diamond Taxi. They both have their own taxi named Dribble Taxi, which has the ability to travel into space, among other features.

Physical description[]

Dribble is a large, bipedal, orange bulldog anthropomorphic bulldog with thick, red eyebrows. Dribble is large, burly and gruff, the main characteristics of a stereotypical taxi driver. Dribble wears a blue jumpsuit as well as a green hat with a red "D," short for Dribble. In several appearances, there are spots near the curved end of the "D" to give it the appearance of a paw, but since WarioWare Gold these spots have been removed.

Spitz is a yellow cat who is a lot shorter than Dribble, being about the size of a child. Spitz wears a blue jumpsuit matching that of Dribble's, and he also wears a pair of goggles pushed up over his forehead. Spitz is always seen squinting.

Personality[]

Dribble is the short-tempered type, although Spitz is more calm. Both Dribble and Spitz have a tendency to be forgetful, namely from in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! and WarioWare: Smooth Moves, where they forget to collect fare from a passenger after dropping them off. Spitz is skilled at jumping, and he is the more playful and energetic of the duo. In the WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! instruction booklet, Spitz encourages Dribble to stop working and play a round of games with him.

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$![]

Dribble and Spitz first appear during the intro scene, in which Wario hires them to produce microgames for his company, WarioWare, Inc..

Dribble and Spitz have Sci-Fi as their game genre. During their level, there is a small story in which Dribble and Spitz drive through Diamond City to pick up a young boy or girl, who has the same name and gender set by the player. The child asks Dribble and Spitz to be taken to the sea. As they drive, Dribble and Spitz change the radio station to play their theme tune, Drifting Away. Following this, the player plays through Dribble and Spitz's microgames as the duo drive through Diamond City during a rain storm. There are four air fresheners of Spitz that represent the player's chances, so if they fail at a microgame, one of the air fresheners drops. The boss microgame at the end of Dribble and Spitz's set is Galaxy 2003.

After clearing Dribble and Spitz's microgames, a cutscene is shown in which Dribble and Spitz drop off the young boy or girl at the pier. Here, the passenger turns into a merperson, jumps into the ocean, and says goodbye to Dribble and Spitz. The duo are astonished by this until dawn, when they realize that they forgot to collect fare from the passenger.

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$![]

Dribble and Spitz have their own multiplayer minigame named Milky Way Delirium.

WarioWare: Twisted![]

During their stage, Steer Clear, Dribble and Spitz are seen driving the Dribble Taxi down the Interstate 310. Dribble asks Spitz if he is asleep then asks what he is doing. Spitz replies that he is messing with the radio, and following this, the player can briefly control Spitz's hand to mess with the car radio. A few seconds after this, the Dribble Taxi breaks down in the middle of an empty street, presumably because Spitz had cranked the volume too loud.

While Dribble and Spitz take a look at the Dribble Taxi to try and repair it, the player plays through their set of microgames. Instead of Spitz air fresheners, the player's chances are represented by four wrench icons. Therefore, if the player fails at a microgame, they lose a wrench.

Dribble and Spitz eventually manage to fix the Dribble Taxi, after the player completes their microgame set. Dribble decides to press a button, and he and Spitz blast off into outer space. They pick up an alien customer and ask where he wants to go, to which the alien says Club Sugar.

WarioWare: Touched![]

Dribble and Spitz do not have their own stage or microgame set, but they briefly appear in the end cutscene of Mike's stage. Here, Dribble and Spitz are called upon by Dr. Crygor to help him find Mike. They use the Dribble Taxi to blast off into space, and eventually find Mike on the planet with the Alien Bunnies.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves[]

Dribble and Spitz host their own series of microgames again. Dribble and Spitz's story is very similar as in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, as they have to take a character to a set location, specifically a young lady whom they must drop off at Tomorrow Hill.

Like in Dribble and Spitz's debut appearance, the player plays through the duo's microgame set while they are driving in the Dribble Taxi. Spitz air fresheners within the Dribble Taxi also return to represent the player's number of chances.

Once the player clears Dribble and Spitz's microgame set, the duo reach their destination. Dribble and Spitz are shocked to see a giant spaceship there, and the young woman reveals herself to be an alien named Mitzi. Dribble and Spitz's astonishment from the young woman's transformation results in them forgetting to collect the fare, much like with the young child in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!.
