The Double Kick is a ability in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 that allows Mario or Luigi to kick two times. Double Kicking near enemies will stun or defeat them depending on the enemy. The move is slightly like a kick or a Star Spin except that it can also be done on the ground. Mario or Luigi must first sprint an enemy and spin when he nigh to the enemy, and then he be required to perform a Long Jump by cower fast and jump. Double Kicking can also break certain objects like Item Crystals, rocks, and activate Chance Cubes, Lever Switches, Arrow Switches. However, it cannot break some Crates. Mario does his Long Jump but he has a couple sparkles throughout him and he is prepared to hurt the most enemies that they are in his plan. This offensive does harm only when he is rising, when he is in the falling down energy, the double kick transform a regular Long Jump and it doesn't have a damage effect. However, he can trip when spin when protecting himself from getting injured.
