Donkey Konga is a Donkey Kong rhythm game for the Nintendo GameCube. It is the first game of the Donkey Konga series, and it went on to receive two sequels, Donkey Konga 2 and Donkey Konga 3 JP, the latter only being released in Japan. Donkey Konga was first released in Japan, on December 12, 2003 (the same day as the Game Boy Advance remake of Super Donkey Kong was released there), then in late 2004 in other countries.
Four Mario characters—Mario, Princess Peach, Yoshi, and Wario—make a cameo as slots during Battle mode in multiplayer. Each of the four slots depict a crop of a Mario Party 4 artwork to show only the character's head.
