Donkey Kong Coconut Crackers was a cancelled Donkey Kong puzzle game that was going to be released for the Game Boy Advance. Rare registers a trademark for Animal Crackers in April 16, 1997. It was developed as Donkey Kong Puzzle Paint in 2000, and revealed as Donkey Kong Coconut Crackers in E3 2001, and was originally planned for release in December 7, 2001 in the United Kingdom. It was likely postponed ahead of time due to the forthcoming acquisition from Microsoft in 2002. Eventually, the game was cancelled along with Donkey Kong Racing in August 2002 due to Rare's move to Microsoft in September 2002. The game was later remade as It's Mr. Pants, its trademark was registered on November 9, 2001. The confirmed characters were Donkey Kong and some Kritters. There were known to be five modes in the game.
