Dizzy is an ailment that appears usually in the Mario role-playing games.

Paper Mario series

Dizzy first appears in Paper Mario where it is a rare ailment caused by enemies. This ailment is usually caused by Dark Koopas lurking in the sewers. If Mario is hit by this ailment, then his moves will sometimes miss. Also, Mario can cause Dizzy to enemies by using a Dizzy Dial, the Dizzy Attack, or the Dizzy Stomp badge. This also applies to Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, but in Super Paper Mario and Paper Mario: Sticker Star, the Dizzy ailment is very rare.

Mario & Luigi series

Dizzy appears in all of the Mario & Luigi games where if the character is Dizzy, then they will lose that turn. The Dizzy ailment is caused by a specific attack or by getting damaged many times in a row. The Dizzy ailment can be cured with Refreshing Herbs.
