Disco Goobs are a legged Goob variant that can be found in the Dance Hall in Luigi's Mansion 3. They are part of a boss fight with Disc Jockey Phantasmagloria, appearing while she is in her first phase.

Combat[]

Disco Goobs attack vary differently from their normal counterparts. Their main attacks are various dance moves. To stop them, Luigi has to find the Disco Goob that holds the correct button as he tries to find it. If Luigi does so, the caught Disco Goob gives the button to another Disco Goob. If the wrong one is selected while Luigi tries to get the button into his possession, the Disco Goobs will play keep-away with the button. Regardless, they will then do the worm to taunt Luigi, and thus are vulnerable to attack.

Upon their defeat, Disc Jockey Phantasmagloria catches the button and enters her second phase, where Luigi can capture her.

Appearance[]

Disco Goobs differ in their appearance to their normal counterparts. Each of them wears a red hoodie and red sweat pants. Their hoodies have a grey cord around the neck.

Trivia[]

  • These ghosts, the Polterkitty, the Polterpup from Dark Moon, and the Clockwork Soldiers from the first game are the only ghosts in the entire Luigi's Mansion franchise to have legs, though they seemingly merge their legs back into a ghost tail after losing their pants when they get sucked up.
  • Despite their name, they mostly have in common with retro hip hop dancers.
