History[]
Super Mario World[]
Bowser and the Koopa Troop took over Dinosaur Land and trapped the Yoshis in eggs. Bowser also built a castle in the underground valley and took Princess Peach with him. Mario and Luigi eventually defeats Bowser and his army and restores Dinosaur Land to its initial state.
Super Mario World[]
Dinosaur Land is the setting where every episode of the Super Mario World show takes place. Unlike the game Super Mario World, Dinosaur Land is mostly referred to as Dinosaur World. It's main inhabitants consist of Cave People, with only one Yoshi that lives there. The Cave People lack technology, although they managed to have built at least one city, Dome City. Throughout the show, Mario, Luigi, and Princess Toadstool helped introduce modern culture to the Dinosaur Land's inhabitants.
Super Mario Bros. (film)[]
Dinosaur Land was the inspiration for Dinohattan in the Super Mario Bros. (film). As it follows the existence of Dinohattanites and dinosaurs living there, including Yoshi.
