The Dictionary is a key item that appears in Paper Mario.

History

The Dictionary belonged to Russ T. of Toad Town who often referred to it for knowledge. During the events of Chapter 4, a Shy Guy stole the Dictionary and took it to Shy Guy's Toy Box. Without his Dictionary, Russ T. was not able to give Mario any helpful tips for his journey (or decipher the Mystery Note). After returning the Dictionary to Russ T., he rewarded Mario with a Star Piece.
