Denden are enemies which appear in Wario Land 4.

Physical description[]
Denden are pig-like creatures that wear a snail-like shell with a few large spikes on it.
Behavior[]
When a Denden lands onto the ground, it begins to crawl from side to side. If Wario is near a Denden, it turns to him, curls up into its shell and rolls toward Wario, but disappears if it hits a wall.
In Wario Land 4[]
Denden are only encountered in Doodle Woods, where they are creations brought to life by Hoggus, along with Butatabi. While a Denden is rolling, Wario can perform a ground pound nearby to have the Denden roll into a different direction. Wario can defeat a Denden by performing a Dash Attack on the front, although if Wario touches the spikes on a Denden's side, he takes damage. Wario can alternatively defeat a Denden by first flipping it upside down from either a nearby ground pound or by hitting a platform it is on from below. In doing so, Wario can then ground pound the upside-down Denden to defeat it. Dendens can respawn indefinitely, and are one of the enemies to not yield any Coins upon being defeated.
