Defend the Flowers is one of the microgames featured in Wario's Intro Games level in WarioWare: Get It Together!.

Layout[]

The minigame takes place in a mostly open area with ground placed below and above. The background consists of a faint, starry sky. The flowers are placed in an opening to the left, and the meteorite comes out the right opening. In two-player mode, there is a possibility of the layout being reversed in which flowers may also appear on the right side of the screen as the meteorite approaches from the left.

Gameplay[]

The objective is to protect flowers on the wall to the left from a meteorite with a crude depiction of Wario's face as it approaches from the right. The player's character has to hit the meteorite to prevent it from hitting any of the flowers. It is possible to get rid of the meteorite entirely by hitting it out of the gap on the right. If the player's character manages to protect the flowers until the end of the microgame, the flowers bloom and they win. If a meteorite hits a flower, the player loses at the microgame.

Orbulon and Penny are listed as the two more suitable characters. Orbulon can use his Oinker's tractor beam to suck up the meteorite. For Penny, she can use her Jet Tank One to shoot out several water projectiles to bounce the meteorite away.

Difficulty levels[]

  • Level 1: There are five yellow flowers to protect from the meteorite.
  • Level 2: A small wall is placed between six cyan flowers and the meteorite.
  • Level 3: A slightly longer wall is placed between seven sunflowers and the meteorite.

In two-player mode, seven flowers appear in every difficulty level, and the changes between difficulty settings are different:

  • Level 1: There is a moving wall between the flowers and meteorite.
  • Level 2: Same as Level 1 except two meteorites enter the area, the second of which is faster.
  • Level 3: Same as Level 2 except one of the meteorites is larger instead of faster.

Mission[]

  • No One Dribbles Like Dribble: In single-player, the player must play as Dribble, who has to touch the meteorite at least seven times. The mission can be completed in the Wario's All-Stars because Dribble is selected as the character who plays there.
