Dark 'n' Crispy

Dark 'n' Crispy (originally spelled Dark 'n Crispy) is a Bowser mini-game in Mario Party 6 and a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party Superstars. In the latter game, it is one possible minigame that can be played if the Bowser Minigame event is triggered after landing on a Bowser Space.

Opening[]

Bowser is lowered to the ground, and the lights suddenly become dark. Only the four spherical lights, each held by a stone structure of Bowser's arms, light up, then the minigame begins.

Gameplay[]

The characters have to avoid contact with Bowser and his Fire Breath as well as falling into the surrounding pit. Bowser can quickly charge forward in a straight line. Aside from the lights on each side, a spotlight shines on each of the participants but not Bowser, so it can be tricky for them to avoid Bowser if he is not near a light source. Whoever remains once the 30-second time limit runs out is the winner. In Mario Party Superstars, an alternate way to win is to be the last character standing.
