Cranky Kong's appearance resembles his video game counterpart. However, he is shown wearing emperor-like attire unlike his video game counterpart.
Personality traits[]
Cranky Kong is known for his bluntness and his refusal to make alliances. Later on, he showed concern when his fellow primates were captured by Bowser's army.
Biography[]
Cranky Kong resided in the Jungle Kingdom.
Spoiler warning : Don't you even dare read the spoiler! Because if you do… Hoo hoo hoo hoo hoooooo… A horrible fate awaits you.When Princess Peach requested him for the Jungle Kingdom to join forces to overthrow Bowser. He conditioned the request to agree only if Mario can beat his son, Donkey Kong. After Mario defeated Donkey Kong, Cranky Kong agreed with Peach's request. He told Peach that they can take the Rainbow Road for a shortcut back to Mushroom Kingdom. Unfortunately, Bowser's army caught up to the Kongs and he was captured and imprisoned in Bowser's castle.
During the wedding reception, he was supposed to be burnt publicly in the lava in front of the audience. However, Mario and Donkey rescued him and the other prisoners left unharmed.

- Unlike his video game counterpart, this Cranky Kong is Donkey Kong's father instead of grandfather.
