Cractus is a recurring character in the Wario franchise. It first appears in Wario Land 4.
Profile[]
Physical description[]
Cractus resembles a large Venus flytrap with a yellow head and leaf-like appendages. In Wario Land 4, he resides in a purple pot. When Wario destroys the pot, the monster is revealed to have the lower body of a ghost.
In WarioWare: Move It!, Cractus is rooted directly to the ground, and his pot is absent. His mouth has jagged lips with his teeth being absent. The leaves around his head no longer wilt, causing him to slightly resemble a lion, and his head is no longer wrinkly.
In Wario Land 4[]

The boss fight against Cractus in Wario Land 4
Cractus is the second boss, and he appears in Emerald Passage, as the guardian of said area.
At the start of his battle, Cractus is seen sleeping; to really fight him, Wario has to destroy the pot housing the creature with his ramming attack.
Cractus can attack Wario with his sharp jaws and his arms while levitating throughout the air. He can also be seen in the ending scene pictures chasing Wario. Whenever his drool touches Wario, Cractus turns him into Zombie Wario. There is also a firefly flying by when Wario transforms which Wario can touch to turn to his normal state and can attack Cractus. Wario can simply attack Cractus by using the vine ladders and jump on Cractus' head, slamming him. Cractus has a time limit to his battle, with the time being 4 minutes on Normal difficulty, 3 on Hard difficulty, and 2 on Super Hard difficulty.
In WarioWare: Move It![]

Cractus in WarioWare: Move It!
Cractus is the main antagonist during Kat and Ana's story, with changes to his design: the leaves around his head are straighter and no longer wilted, he is rooted to the ground therefore he can no longer fly, and he lacks bald skin and has a jagged mouth instead of a straight mouth with sharp teeth. During the events of their stage, The Grand Parfait Adventure, Kat and Ana follow a parchment, but Leo steals it as he wants the parfaits as well. Leo gets a dose of karma when he gets eaten by Cractus. Kat and Ana battle Cractus and several carnivorous plants that aid him, though Cractus becomes enraged when they fell one of his minions. He then sics them on the twins, commencing a battle.
During the intermission to their stage, Kat and Ana face Cractus' minions while the monster himself waits in the background. If the player wins a microgame, Kat and Ana fell the minion, but if the player fails, they get mauled instead. During the Boss Microgame, Cractus himself confronts the duo, with the same reactions as his minions.
After the player clears the stage, Cractus is defeated and loses consciousness from his wounds, though whether he actually did survive or not is unclear. Leo escapes from the monster's jaws, salty over his failure to get the parfaits, while Kat and Ana enjoy a parfait feast.

Trivia[]
- Although his name is a pun on cactus, Cractus is more closely based on a Venus Fly Trap.
- Cractus is the first character from a Wario Land game that is not Wario himself to eventually appear as a cast member in a WarioWare game.
Behind the scenes[]
Etymology[]
Cractus derives his name from "cactus," despite being based on a Venus Fly Trap.
Nomenclacture[]
Cractus is called Furawana (written as フラワナ; from the Japanese word "wana," meaning "trap" and written as 罠 or ワナ, combined with a transliteration of the English word "flower.") in Japanese. His Chinese name, Cìquán Huā, written as 刺拳花, literally means "Spiky-Fist Flower." In Dutch and Spanish, he is simply called "Cractus." In French, the character is called "Croctus," from "cactus" and the verb croquer (to crunch). His Italian name, "Coccactus," comes from coccodrillo (crocodile) and "cactus." In Korean, his name is "Peullakeo," written 플라커.
