A coin bag are items in various spinoff titles of the Mario franchise, especially the Mario Party series.
Description[]
Coin bags are collectible items that contain a certain number of coins. Coin bags are almost always exclusive to minigames, where they are less common than singular coins, so players often compete to obtain them for this reason, in addition to them being worth more coins.
In Mario Party series[]
Coin bags in Cash Flow from Mario Party 6
Coin bags are worth five coins each and are usually present in coin-collecting minigames, although they are rarer than the singular coins.
In Mario Party 4, some coin bags appear in the minigame Paratrooper Plunge, where they give the player five coins each.
In Mario Party 5, the Koopa Bank Capsule is represented by a coin bag.
In Mario Party 6, in Castaway Bay, the Ukiki sometimes throws at least one or even two coin bags for the character to catch among the other coins while dodging the Spiny Eggs. Each coin bag is worth five coins, like in the main minigames.
In Mario Party 8, MC Ballyhoo places coin bags onto the board's Red Spaces when the game reaches the last five turns.
In Mario Superstar Baseball[]
Coin bags appear only in the minigame Star Dash, and each of them contain ten coins. Characters can touch the coin bags to obtain the coins within, with a chime also playing. If coin bags hit the ground, the coins are spilled.
