Cloud Flower

Cloud Flowers are a type of power-up item in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Upon obtaining one, Mario or Luigi can transform into their cloud form. Once collected, Mario's hat turns white and three little clouds will follow him. Upon shaking the Wii Remote, a cloud platform appears under Mario, allowing him to go higher, with the main purpose being to reach some otherwise inaccessible locations. This can only be done three times, as a Cloud Flower only grants him three clouds. If Mario has two or less clouds, he can touch a Cloud Flower to refill his supply, although they do not accumulate past three. It is not required for Mario to lose the suit to get another set of three clouds, but they do not accumulate. If Mario touches water or takes damage, the effect of the Cloud Flower wears off.
