Super Mario Mario Kart
Not to be confused with Clam.

A Clampy is a variant of Clam and a recurring enemy species in the Mario franchise. They first appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

In New Super Mario Bros. Wii[]

They appear in World 1-4 and a secret area in World 4-1. They trap characters in their mouths, giving them damage, and then releasing them. Most of them have coins in their mouths as compared to ones that have 1-Up Mushrooms to attract players to them.

In Mario Kart 7[]

Clampies can be seen in Cheep Cheep Lagoon in Mario Kart 7. Similar to New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Clampies have items in them to lure players toward them, such as Item Boxes.

In Mario Party 10[]

Clampies appear in the background of the board Whimsical Waters. Clampies also appear in the minigame Cheep Cheep Check, where the solo character uses them to disperse large clusters of bubbles to try and distract the other characters from counting the Cheep Cheeps.
