Chomp Rocks are large, stone-like objects that appear throughout the series. They are first seen in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

Paper Mario series

In Paper Mario, Chomp Rocks make a brief appearance in Dry Dry Ruins. They are often mistaken for their animate counterparts, the Stone Chomps. Chomp Rocks in Dry Dry Ruins serve as decorations for the Chain Chomp-based ruins.

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, only two Chomp Rocks make an appearance and it is deep within the Palace of Shadow. The Chomp Rocks' mouths are open and Admiral Bobbery can be used to blow them up revealing two warp pipes.
