A Chicken[1] (チッキン[2] Chikkin?, Chicken) is an enemy which appears in Super Mario Land. They are only found in the final kingdom, the Chai Kingdom.

Behavior[]
A Chicken is found soaring through the air meaning Mario can only take them down by shooting missiles from his Sky Pop. The player earns 400 points for each Chicken defeated. If Mario misses or does not shoot down the Chickens, they will attempt to fly toward him dealing damage. Chickens are also present during the fight with Biokinton where the giant cloud attacks by sending a flock of them toward Mario.
