Cherry-Go-Round is both a 4-player and a Duel Minigame which appears in Mario Party DS.

Layout[]

The minigame appears to take place in a bakery, considering the cakes in the background and the characters being on one themselves.

Gameplay[]

Each character has to spin around a bunched pair of cherries as fast as they can for five seconds to build momentum. When the time is up, each character automatically throws their cherries forward, high into the air. Whoever has their cherry thrown the farthest is the winner, and the distance for each thrown is measured in centimeters. If either none of the characters throw their cherries or if they all receive the same score, the minigame ends in a tie, although this is unlikely to occur.

Controls[]

  • Stylus: Spin around a pair of cherries

Trivia[]

  • The minigame's name is a pun on "merry-go-round," but with "cherry" substituting as the first word.
