Chef Torte is first seen after Mario and the others sneak into his kitchen trying to stop the wedding of Booster and Princess Toadstool. Chef Torte and his apprentice eventually carry the cake into the wedding room but find out that there is no one to eat the cake. Angry, Chef Torte and his apprentice engage Mario and co. in a battle.
