Cheepers Keepers, titled Hook, Line and Cheep Cheep in the British English version, is a general minigame in Mario Party: Island Tour.

Layout[]

The minigame takes place on a dock in front of a beach, which has a field consisting of short grass and several palm trees behind it.

Opening[]

After the characters are first shown, something catches each one's fishing hook, revealed to be a Cheep Cheep as each character reels them out before throwing their fishing rod hook back into the water.

Gameplay[]

The minigame is divided into three rounds, and in each one, players must press a certain button as many times as they can within five seconds for their character to catch the most Cheep Cheeps. Whoever has reeled out the most Cheep Cheeps by the end is the winner.

Trivia[]

  • The minigame's name is a pun on the saying "Finders Keepers," with the "Cheep" prefix referring to a Cheep Cheep.
  • The British English name "Hook, Line and Cheep Cheep" is a pun on the phrase "Hook, line, and sinker," which was previously used as a pun for the Mario Party 3 minigame Hand, Line and Sinker.
