Mario Party 3 gameplay

The characters will be stuck in a dungeon with a Mega Cheep Cheep. At the start of the mini-game, they will be chased by the Mega Cheep Cheep. They must swim away from the it before it is able to capture them. While they are swimming away from it, they will encounter giant mines that are placed in the water. If a player hits the mine, they will be knocked out temporarily, giving Mega Cheep Cheep the chance to suck them in. However, hitting a bomb does not guarantee an instant death for the player. To avoid the mines, the characters must swim underwater while holding the Z button. The character that makes it to the stairs at the end of the dungeon will win the race. It is possible for all the players to be sucked in by the Mega Cheep Cheep, causing the mini-game to end in draw.

Controls[]

  • A Button - Repeatedly to swim
  • Z Button - Dive

Trivia[]

  • In Mario Party 3, the Cheep Cheep's design strongly resembles that of a Bub (an enemy from Super Mario 64), possibly the reason for this is due to most of the design elements from the N64 Mario Party games being reused from Super Mario 64. Similarly, the Snifit Patrol Snifits have the design of a Snufit. These would later be fixed in the Mario Party Superstars version.
